Always Keep A Fresh Coat of Wax On Your Vehicle

Always Keep A Fresh Coat of Wax On Your Vehicle
Lately, here in the Northeast, we have had the pleasure of mild and unseasonably warm temps. This is always an opportunity to wax your vehicle--provided the temperature doesn't drop below 45 degrees.

Recently, I waxed a vehicle with Meguiar's Deep Crystal Wax with Carnuba. I usually use Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech wax but I happened to be out of the product at the time--I found a bottle of Meguiar's Deep Crystal Wax--which is part of a three step system. I have to be honest, I simply washed the car at the self-serve car wash using the pre-soak and rinsed and drove the car dry. I then applied the Deep Crystal Wax to small areas of the car-starting in the back. At first, I thought, I will probably pay for skipping the first two steps. But then, I realized that I trust Meguiar's and all would be well--and it was!! For me, this is what makes it all worth while. I had forgotten how good the Deep Crystal Wax was--I hadn't used it in at least a year! The color is actually deeper and the shine--don't get me started!!

What I am saying, is that while I adore the NXT Generation Tech Wax, I came to the conclusion that switching up every now and then may indeed be a good thing to do. First of all, most waxes don't last longer than a wash or two or three. By waxing your vehicle according to factors like the weather, their elements and exposure to the sun--parking on the street, the wax seems to last longer. So a good coat of wax is a safe bet. I recommend waxing once a week during the paek of the summer--you can begin protecting and preserving your finish before the cold weather arrives. How well a wax performs also depends on how clean your paint is. Let's not forget the type of towel you use makes a BIG difference! I have found that using Microfiber towels to be time-saving and it produces an extremely high gloss! It won't scratch your finish so long as you use a clean microfiber towel--every time! Microfiber Towels Rule! Keep it Clean and Shiny! -Marie
