Vacation (2015)

Vacation (2015)
Trying to keep his family together, a now grown Rusty Griswold decides to take his wife and two sons on a cross-country adventure to the renowned Walley World. But as with other Griswold ventures, the family soon encounters one disaster after another. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching 2015’s “Vacation”.

· Rusty convinces Debbie to slam the minivan’s door on his arm a second time. She slams it and the door opens. It’s still open in the close-up view when he tells everyone not to slam their arm in the door. The scene cuts to a wider view of the family and the minivan’s door is closed. It cuts to a farther view of the family, the house, and the minivan in the driveway and the door is open again.

· Rusty is talking on the minivan’s CB radio when Kevin asks if he can try. He starts talking in the close-up but he’s not holding down the side button to talk to the trucker.

· The family is having dinner at Audrey and Stone’s home. Audrey is talking about how Stone saved 2,000 lives and the field behind her and Kevin is empty. It cuts to a quick view of Stone and then back to Audrey and there is now a brown and white cow grazing in the field. The cow is still there when Audrey says, “I liked working”. It cuts to another view of Stone and back to Audrey again and the cow is gone.

· Rusty and Debbie are arguing about the wedding ring. Afterwards, they’re on the bed and Rusty’s shirt is buttoned. It’s still buttoned in the close-up when Stone knocks on the door and asks if they’re decent. Stone walks in and asks if they have everything they need, and a view of Rusty shows his shirt is unbuttoned.

· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! The family is chasing the minivan as it drives away. The view of the family from the van’s rearview window shows James, Debbie, Kevin and Rusty. They’re still in the same line-up in the rearview of them on the road when Rusty pushes the button on the remote and the minivan explodes. It cuts to a front view as it shows the family’s reaction to the fireball and Kevin is now off to the side of the road, standing to the right of James.

“Vacation” (2015) stars Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Skyler Gisondo, Steele Stebbins, Chris Hemsworth, Leslie Mann, Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, Ron Livingston, Keegan-Michael Key, Regina Hall, and Norman Reedus. It runs 99 minutes and is rated R for crude and sexual, content and language throughout, and brief graphic nudity.
