Star Wars Collectible Cards

Star Wars Collectible Cards
Cartamundi has made available Star Wars collectible cards. I picked up the complete saga with two decks at a local store in the game area. The two decks consist of the prequel trilogy and the classic trilogy. Make no mistake, the two decks are actual playing cards; but if you are a collector, you may not want to play with them.

For a sneak peek at the prequel trilogy playing cards, for one Joker; they have none other than Jar-Jar Binks from The Phantom Menace. One more Joker is R2D2 from The Revenge of the Sith. The third Joker is non other than C3PO.

Closeup shots of Christopher Lee, Liam Neeson, and Natalie Portman are great reasons to purchase this deck as well. Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and Yoda also make appearances on the cards.

The back of the cards are a collage of all of the actors and a few of the characters. The front of the cards, along with the pictures have the suit and rank of the card on them for easy reading.

The Classic Trilogy set of playing cards features the alien band from the nightclub, Chewbacca and R2D2 with a couple of Teddybear-like Ewoks as the three Jokers.

Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia as a slave to Jabba the Hutt is featured on the 5 of Diamonds. There are nice pictures of Billy Dee Williams, Harrison Ford, Mark Hammill and the rest of the cast as well.

Action scenes from all of the movies are featured on the decks. It may have been a while since you have seen the movies, but you will definitely remember most of these scenes.

The cards also would serve as a great idea base for a group of people who would like to dress as characters for a masquerade party, a Star Wars party, or even Halloween costumes. The closeups of the characters and the actors show details that may have been lost in your memory over time.

If you wish to keep them as a collector's item, be sure they are kept in a dry place that is nowhere near moisture. Perhaps you have a collectible box that you keep your valuables in.

Whether you want to play card games them or just collect them to look at; this set is a wonderful memory for all of the fans of Star Wars.
